Donna Deiss, the vehicularly-housed woman was assaulted and battered by Sgt. Christian LeMoss on May 9th out at the Three-Trees parking lot on W. Cliff Dr. before numerous witnesses.
Ironically and typically Deiss herself was charged with "resisting arrest." She is a short 60-yeqar old disabled woman who is half LeMoss's weight.
Her attorney, Ben Rice entered a "not guilty" plea for her two weeks ago. This will be a hearing on motions prior to trial, perhaps seeking Sgt. LeMoss's prior record of citizen complaints relating to excessive force and/or lying.
Deiss invites supporters to attend, even though the hearing may be brief and concerned with technical pretrial motions.
Deiss was originally charged with assault and battery on a police officer, possession of marijuana, and resisting arrest.
All charges have been dropped except the "resisting arrest" charge.
Deiss is also working with attorney Greg Coben, who is handling her civil suit.

A recent update this afternoon (8/5) by Deiss after meeting with her attorneys: the Hearing will probably go quickly at 8:30 AM, lasting only a few minutes, if that.
She may not be there, since it involves only motions and she is not required to be personally present.
HUFF will review the Deiss and LeMoss situation at its 9:30 AM meeting.
