How to Protect Your Child’s Privacy: what every parent should know about military recruiters' access to children in our schools
Concerned adults are invited to a discussion on “How to Protect Your Kids’ Privacy: What Every Parent Should Know About Military Recruiters’ Access to Children in Our Schools” from 3 to 5 pm on Sunday, August 17, at the Unitarian Church at 490 Aguajito in Carmel. The main speaker, Alberto Tovar, is a graduate of CSUMB, where he completed a Capstone project on military recruitment strategies and their impact on young men and women of color. Mr. Tovar appreciates and supports our troops, but is concerned about the misleading information students are frequently given by recruiters, and how it can affect their life choices. For more information, contact Karen at 831 601-4564, or LetsBePeace [at] cs.com . Sponsored by the Peace Coalition of Monterey County. http://www.peacemonterey.org
