Request for Proposals-Agape Foundation
Letters of Intent are due 5 pm on Friday, August 1, 2008 for the Agape Foundation – Fund for Nonviolent Social Change's Board of Trustees Fall 2008 grant cycle. We welcome proposals from small, California-based, grassroots organizations working for nonviolent social change.
Agape funds organizations that are addressing the following issues: Peace, Human Rights, Environmental Protection, Economic Justice, Progressive Arts & Media, and Grassroots Organizing Support. Organizations must be five years old or younger, with annual budgets under $100,000. The Foundation also funds the distribution of social issue media, including films, videos, radio programs, compact discs, vinyl records and books.
Please note that Agape has increased its maximum grant amount to $5,000 and has made other changes to the grant application process. In order to provide grantseekers with a faster response to their requests, Agape Foundation now requires that grantseekers submit the Letter of Intent form first. Within 72 hours of receipt of the completed form, the staff will either decline the request or ask the grantseeker to submit a full proposal which will be due by Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at 5:00 p.m.
Important dates for this grant cycle:
Friday, August 1, 2008 5:00 p.m. PST - Letter of Intent Form deadline (can be submitted electronically.)
Please note that we do not accept LOI forms by fax.
Tuesday, September 3, 2008 5:00 p.m. PST - Full proposal due, if requested(can be submitted electronically.)
