July 26th offers an extraordinary opportunity for Silicon Valley to engage with inspirational women leaders who are participating in the flagship program "Women Leaders for the World", presented by the Global Women's Leadership Network. These courageous and committed women from 14 countries including Armenia, Bangladesh, Canada, Ethiopia, Ghana, Haiti, India, Kenya, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa, Turkey, Uganda and the U.S. and YOU, their partners, share this special opportunity, "Voices of Global Leaders".
Keynote speaker, Supriya Banavalikar, Director of Research for The Hunger Project, has been working in various staff positions to implement The Hunger Project's strategy of empowering women and men to create sustainable solutions based on building self-reliance at the grassroots level. She will share leadership strategies and programs in Bangladesh, India, and Africa.
Alain Gauthier, Founder of Core Leadership and Almaz Negash, Executive Director of Women's Initiative, San Jose, will also lead two panels in discussions will highlight real life examples of transforming lives from hopelessness and helplessness into leaders of purpose and impact. They will discuss the dynamic transformation process of going from "Victims of Poverty" to "Agents of Change."
Silicon Valley residents like you will join leaders from other countries to create "communities of commitment" - engaging in small group discussions visiting global issues represented by the projects of the Global Women's Leadership Network, Women Leaders for the World participants.
"Voices of Global Leaders" will be held on July 26, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Santa Clara University's Recital Hall, located in the Performing Arts building. The admission fees will help fund future programs of GWLN.
