Meet in the surface parking lot at San Jose City College at the corner of Moorpark and Leigh Avenues. We will carpool to Watsonville.
Human Agenda-Farmworker Reality Tour (Maximum 20 person)
Testimonials, Dialogue, Visits & Dinner with Farmworkers in Watsonville. $25
This tour will challenge participants to better understand the conditions of Mexican farmworkers in Northern California. Farmworkers will share their lives, their food, and their homes. A visit will be made to a labor camp near Watsonville. Farmworkers will share a look at their living quarters, the use of pesticides, their wages and working conditions, and the challenges their children have in receiving education. A farmworker meal is included in the cost. Ann Lopez will analyze the conditions of farmworkers on both sides of the border and sign copies of her newly released book, The Farmworkers’ Journey, at the discounted rate of $15. Check for $25 Payable to “Human Agenda”. Send to Human Agenda Treasurer, 3845 Wellington Square, San Jose, CA 95136. Proceeds go to farmworker families hosting the tour and a small
