This extensive 75th anniversary exhibit shows the role of the New Deal for working people in San Francisco from the construction projects to the other work that was done during this crucial labor period, when the workingclass won Social Security and unemployment insurance in 1935 as a direct result of the labor struggles in 1934 in San Francisco, Minneapolis and Toledo, including San Francisco's 1934 General Strike, honored annually with this month long Laborfest. This New Deal Exhibit will be at the SF Main Library through August 9, 2008.
