Video: Looking Towards Inside; the militarization in Guerrero
(Spanish with English subtitles)

Both houses of the United States Congress passed different versions of President Bush’s Billion Dollar Mérida Initiative, dubbed “Plan Mexico” because of its similarity to the failed Plan Colombia. This video shows the impact of militarization on indigenous communities in the state of Guerrero.

Speakers: Carolina Dutton recently returned from Guerrero. Mary Ann Tenuto Sánchez will speak on Plan Mexico and the Chiapas connection.
