Radical Women meeting--Thursday, June 26, 7pm
Celebrate the legalization of same-sex marriage and commemorate the militancy of the drag queens of color who stood up to the police during the 1969 Stonewall rebellion. Featuring: Beck, a radical queer youth worker seeking to make ENDA inclusive; Poonam, board member of Trikone, the Bay Area's S. Asian LGBT organization; and Anita O’Shea, queer leader in Radical Women and Bay Area Coalition for Our Reproductive Rights. They will speak on the need to stop the sellouts of poor and working class issues by mainstream LGBT leaders and the necessity of building a radical movement that fights for true equality and not just acceptance. Bring your ideas and opinions!
Come early for a fabulous summer buffet, with vegetarian option, available at 6:15 p.m. for a $7.00 donation.
