Monday, June 16, 7:30 PM www.mpjc.org Mill Valley Town Council RESTORE DEMOCRACY – Marin Rebuilding our Local Democracy One Town at a Time A major test of democracy in Marin will occur when the Mill Valley City Council considers Lynn Woolsey's request for a resolution calling for the prompt end of the occupation of Iraq and its own conflicting council policy not to take positions on national issues unless they directly affect the city. City councils around the country have been stepping up to the plate to represent their constituents on state and national issues. The United States Conference of Mayors passed a resolution calling for redeployment of troops (read entire resolution) please come support the Mill valley Town council in calling for a swift end to the war in Iraq.
