How about inviting some of those ex-Guantanamo "detainees"(some of them have been released to their home countries in Britain & Germany and have written of their torturous ordeals) to testify against this cowardly "theoretician" who is now hiding under the veil of "academic freedom." Does academic freedom protect the right of someone to yell, "FIRE!" in a crowded theater? In Yoo's case, it's even more insidious--he is claiming that he was merely expressing an "opinion" on 'detainee' policy, when in actual fact, he knowingly provided an ideologically-biased interpretation of the Geneva Convention's provisions for acceptable prisoner-of-war treatment, in order to give his boss--the Bush regime--a convenient excuse to abuse and torture hundreds--if not thousands--of bounty-furnished "suspects." In so doing, Yoo et al are no different than the notorious Nazi doctor Josef Mengele who willingly provided their professional services to further the blatantly cruel and inhumane policies of their employers, and they should be fully & objectively prosecuted for their complicity in the Bush regime's war crimes.
