FLASH!!!!!!!!
We are CELEBRATING TODAY, Wednesday, June 25th, from noon to 4:00pm at the MRS, 64 Shattuck Square in Berkeley!
Yesterday, Judge Morris Jacobson from Alameda County Superior Court, upheld our free speech rights and our rights to protest at the Marine Recruiting Station free of criminal charges!
Come hear the details! Meet the invited guests of honor: awesome diva lawyers, Ann Wintermen, Andy Auer, Rebecca Tran, Judy Browne! Hug the courageous defendants, Pamela Bennett, Toby Blume, Medea Benjamin, Zanne Joi! Stand with all the wonderful CodePINK trial supporters, Becky, Soul, Bridget, Asher, Lori, Stephanie, MaryAnn, Tom, Bill, Betsy and many others. Share some victory cake!
Bring deserts, drinks, fruit - or just BE THERE!
*********************************
... Open Mike at 2:00pm, Dance for Peace with Dolores at 3:00pm; get petitions signed, play bridge, hula hoop, meet amazing folks, and exchange ideas and strategies while building hope and determination to END WAR NOW.
Call 510-524-2776 for more info.
This is part of our How Berkeley Can U BE Actions in front of the MRS (Marine Recruiting Station), 64 Shattuck Square, Berkeley - on Shattuck Ave just south of University Ave where Shattuck runs one-way north - or two blocks north of the Downtown Berkeley BART Station.
Remember, you can also start your own action - we'll help! The Protest Bag with everything you'll need to vigil when no one else is there, is across the street inside the People's Café! Make sure you THANK them for providing this service and support for us!
AND you can always swing by the station after or before hours, CHALK the sidewalk with messages for the recruiters and those in danger of being recruited.
Also call the station 510-705-8060 daily - speak with Captain Lund, make appointments to talk with him, ask him to honor the people of Berkeley and SHUT DOWN this recruiting station. Keep the lines busy! No business as usual!
