China Basin Park is located along the shores of McCovey Cove between the Lefty O’Doul Bridge, Pier 48 and Terry Francois Boulevard. The news conference will be held near the recreational little league field.

Environmental leaders from The Nature Conservancy, Natural Resources Defense Council, Sierra Club California and Greenbelt Alliance hold a press conference Wednesday, May 28, to alert voters to the environmental dangers lurking in Proposition 98 on the June 3 ballot. Prop. 98 would undermine environmental laws that help prevent global warming, maintain water and air quality, protect species and preserve open space. SF Tenants Union says:
They could use bodies there BUT if you go, please don;t bring rent control signs, flyers or if questioned by media talk about rent control impacts. The statewide campaign really wants to get an environmental message out for the voters in Marin and similar areas within the SF TV market so we don;t want to dilute the environmental message.
