Part of the Iraq Moratorium campaign, an monthly series of actions demanding an end to the war. On the third Friday of each month, we are take the time to show our President and Congress that our troops must be brought home, now!
We've had great success at reaching commuters on each Iraq Moratorium day, engaging them in conversation about the need to end the U.S. occupation of Iraq and/or asking them to take the pledge and take action against the war.
This effort requires two people per station (or four where there is also a bus depot) to distribute leaflets and ribbons between 7:30 and 9:00 a.m. Wear your 'Troops Home Now!' tee-shirts if you have them.
Let us know if you can leaflet a station near you. For stations from Redwood City to San Jose, please call Elaine Elbizri of the MoveOn District 14 Council at (650) 796-5866 or email eephoebe [at] hotmail.com. For stations from Belmont to San Francisco, please call Anne Carey of the Declaration of Peace - San Mateo County at 415-238-0704 or email abcarey [at] comcast.net.
