ACCESS CAFÉ: Community Supported Food
Sunday, May 18th
11am-3pm
Million Fishes Art Gallery
2501 Bryant Street (@ 23rd)
Access Cafe is an all-volunteer, nomadic restaurant that serves food on a participation and donation basis. We aspire to make healthy food and social space accessible to all. Thus, we do not have fixed menu prices. Instead, patrons donate what they feel. Larger donations help cover those who offer smaller contributions.
We will be serving vegan pancakes, tofu scrambles and vegan organic tamales along with mimosas, coffee and an array of fine teas.
We are currently looking for volunteers to help cook, chop, serve, clean and support the project. Please be in touch if you are interested, especially if you love food (growing it, cooking it, eating it, sharing it). There will be a Volunteer Orientation party next week.
We are also looking for particular equipment (so we can borrow rather than having to buy) and ultra-local produce (anyone have an overflowing fruit tree?). Contributing before the event qualifies you for a reservation. A list of our needs can be found on our myspace page. Please contribute what you can.
And of course, you are all welcome to attend the brunch. Reservations can be made through myspace or by calling 415.552.3250
