Nurses, Organizing, The California Nurses Association CNA and the SEIU
With guest:
Jan S Rodolfo, Secretary CNA-NNOC
Join Labor On The Job as we look at the history of the California Nurses Association, how it organized nurses and fought the governor Arnold Schwartzenegger over patient ratios. We will also look at how the CNA looks at the health care crisis and the basis of it's philosophical and political differences with President Andy Stern and the SEIU national leadership. Included will also be an interview with SEIU Ohio nurse supporter Susan Horne who went to the Labor Notes conference to protest the CNA. We will look at the confrontation that took place at the conference at Dearborn, Michigan and why the SEIU sought to physically disrupt the conference.
