Marx on Russia
In his last public writing, the 1882 preface to the Russian edition of the Communist Manifesto, Marx posed an alternative road towards communism for Russia based on its village communes. Marx's late writings on non-capitalist, indigenous forms of communal life show his multi-linear view of revolution. What are the implication for possible roads to socialism/communism in today's revolutions?
