Ladyfest Tijuana Presents
La Pesadilla de Darwin/Darwin's Nightmare
A movie by Hubert Sauper (Brussels, 2005)
An excellent documentary that demonstrates two of the main selling points of globalization: war and hunger.
Tanzania, where at one time was the cradle of civilization, now is destroyed, like all of the African continent, because of Europe's sharp teeth: indifference, neocolonialism, and a greedy predatory instinct that costs human lives as well as the systematic destruction of the planet. It's impossible to not hang your face in shame and think about your own contribution to this nightmare.
voluntary donations accepted for the LadyFest festival that we will be holding June 13-15. These can be monetary, or food donations such as uncooked, dried beans, rice, oatmeal, or TVP.
