The Hastings Race and Poverty Law Journal is proud to present its sixth annual symposium, entitled "Confronting Hidden Borders: Immigration and Uniting Communities of Color."
This event will feature Eva Paterson, Lucas Guttentag, Jennifer Chacon, and Bill Hing as keynote speakers, and will include panels on "Decontructing myths, fears, and assumptions about immigration," "Quality education for all," "Responding to divisions in minority communities," "Immigration reform from a labor perspective," and "Combating racial profiling in ICE raids and policies."
The symposium will be held on Thursday, April 17, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, at 200 McAllister Street in San Francisco. It is free and open to the public. In addition, this event will be wheelchair accessible. For more information, please see our website.
