On the Day after the 4000th American Death in Iraq is Announced:

Just Say NO!
Stop the Killing
Stop the Wounding
End the Occupation
AND DO IT NOW!!!

3996 Americans have now died in combat in Iraq!*
Sometime this week,
THE DAY AFTER the 4000th AMERICAN DEATH IS ANNOUNCED,
please make it a priority to join the Peace Community of Santa Cruz
at the Military Recruiting Center,
2121 41st Avenue, in Capitola,
from 3-6PM
for a Vigil and Action!
(watch for a confirming announcement!)

Bring signs, friends, drums, bells, gongs, and flowers - be creative, be outrageous!

Please do not think up a good excuse why you cannot be there.
Give something else up if you have to!
If it were your child, spouse, good friend, or loved one,
what would you hope others would do?

We teach children the importance of being able to say NO firmly
and strongly when they need to.
It is long past time for the American people, and for Congress,
to say NO to the Iraq war, and to war as a way of life.

It is time to say YES to Peace, to Justice, to Equality, to Dialogue,
and to Negotiation!

sponsored by People United for Peace, and others..........

People United for Peace (PUP) is a local affiliation of peace and
social justice advocates and activists, organizing vigils, actions, and
other events in the Santa Cruz County area on an ad hoc basis.
