Berkeley and Military Recruiting: What’s All the Fuss About?
Bay Area activists are working hard to eliminate military recruiting of our youth in Berkeley as part of our multi-pronged strategy to END WAR NOW.
The Berkeley City Council, along with the Peace and Justice Commission, recently stepped up to the plate and took a strong stand for peace and against Marine recruiting in our town.
Pro-war forces, incensed by our stand against military recruiting, have attempted to force our City Council to retract their stand and have organized counter protests.
Peace-loving forces in Berkeley and around the country, inspired by this courageous stand and work to protect our youth and end war now, are also stepping up organizing here and around the nation.
Come meet with CodePINK, organizers, activists, and city officials about this campaign that has created a national firestorm, and how we can utilize this firestorm, and how we can be more effective in our efforts to stop recruiting in our town and END WAR NOW.
$5 donation –more if you can, less if you can’t NO ONE TURNED AWAY
