The show Hate (Part 1) List & Anna’s Love is conceptualized in the overthe-top rhetoric of the main opposing poles in human life. The staged dialogue between these two positions aims to be ridiculous and genuine at the same time and wants to be understood as a plea for the irrational and the imperative need for unification of art and life.
Ruth Hodgins investigates the borderland of hate through writings on the gallery walls and sculptural elements. Anna Schneider presents a festive event (on 3/20/08) a counter love experience that not only celebrates the beauty and eroticism of dance, but also emphasizes the fact that the practice of staging is a main element in love and the representation of affections, whether they are true or not.
