End Iraq War! Chico P&J Puppet Pageant

Chico Peace and Justice Center will sponsor a puppet pagaent and peace rally in downtown Chico on 3/15, the 5th anniversary of the U.S. military's illegal invasion and occupation of Iraq, beginning at 11 am..

Pageant events feature;

11 am - puppet making for children
12 pm - funeral procession for those killed in Iraq
1 pm - puppet pageant, edutainment speeches
2:30 pm - closing with spiral dance

Pageant theme; Alternative Uses for 1 Trillion Dollars Spent on War

1) Continued emphasis on opposition to U.S. military occupation of Iraq

2)Honoring both soldiers and civilians who have paid price of U.S. invasion and occupation of Iraq with their lives, health and sanity.

3) Explore numerous alternatives to war, militarism and petroleum dependency (primary reason for U.S. invasion of Iraq).
