Lyn's efforts to rescue Pacifica from the yawning of irrelevance has been tireless. At the same time, she has been instrumental in developing alternatives that allow the sort of information that was once exclusive to Pacifica's airwaves to pervade the internet and continue outward to disseminate within the new technologies and old networks. So while Lew Hill is being disassembled in a Frankenstironic spectacle, so his spirit is simply reconstituted on another plane by Lyn and all the folks at A infos Radio Project and Radio4all. Also a really impressive, although legislatively wounded microradio Networking achievement in concert with Stephen Dunifer and an armada of lesser known, but equally dangerous Pirates riding the Waves and ambushing hapless merchants of propaganda and regular convoys of counterfiet information that inflates the legitimate economy of ideas.

A-Infos Radio Project was formed in October 1996 by Lyn Gerry and other grassroots broadcasters, free radio journalists and cyber-activists to provide the means to share radio programs via the Internet, in direct response to a reorganisation of the Pacifica radio station that eliminated many of its more controversial programmers. The project's goal is to support and expand the movement for democratic communications worldwide by offering an alternative to corporate media.

The A-Infos Radio Project was the first grassroots media project of its kind on the internet, allowing free upload and download of programs, and has attracted a wide variety of audio material, though the focus remains clearly on public domain radio programmes. As a non-commercial operation supported by donations, download is not fast, and the site has occasional outages.

[IMC-Audio] A-Infos Radio Project Update 11/29/2000

The A-Infos Radio Project was formed in 1996 by grassroots broadcasters, free radio journalists and cyber-activists to provide ourselves with the means to share our radio programs via the Internet. To our knowledge, the A-Infos Radio Project was the first grassroots media project of it's kind on the internet. Our goal is to support and expand the movement for democratic communications worldwide. We exist to be an alternative to the corporate and government media which do not serve struggles for liberty, justice and peace, nor enable the free expression of creativity. The archived material is available to anyone who wants it free of charge.

We welcome submissions from all stations and independent producers in the service of these goals. All material is donated by its producers who are solely responsible for its content.

I'd be a lot more sympathetic is the website hadn't turned into a resource for kookville central and conspiracy theories.
Just Google:

site:radio4all.net chemtrails
site:radio4all.net vote fraud
site:radio4all.net ron paul
site:radio4all.net 911truth
site:radio4all.net sandy hook

More worrying, it's a fact political conartists have used the website to upload audios attempting to smear and intimidate people who caught them. I don't know if Gerry has ever been contacted about removing these, but it would be no surprise if she pleads "freeze peach" and pretends she can't do anything.

If that's the case, then good riddance.
