Who should come: anyone/everyone interested in learning about/supporting Cynthia McKinney's 2008 Presidential Campaign. She is supported by the Reconstruction Party headquartered in New Orleans, by numerous Independents, and is contending for the US Green Party & CA Peace & Freedom Party nominations for President of the United States.
What we're about: joining with others in a collective effort to change current social conditions; about mobilizing a grassroots mass movement in & out of the Electoral Arena aimed at building for the longterm to radically change the balance of power in the US Empire.
This isn't really a "meeting", more just a chance to meet each other, explain what's on our minds, see where we go from here. We'll go around the room, introduce everybody, update the latest from Cynthia & the Campaign organization, hear from Green Party and PNF Convention Delegates, some info about the Reconstruction Party, then go around the room again to hear what each person has in mind, would like to do, would like to see happen etc.
Hopefully we'll be able to form a committee & schedule a first "business" meeting to plan how to spread the word, how to deliver information about Cynthia and her campaign to local people who need it.
Cynthia got the second-highest vote total in the CA Green Party Primary, which means she'll have 45 delegates at the Chicago GP Convention July 10; possibly one or more from Sacramento Co.
Sac Co. Delegate nominees: Jeff Kravitz, KravitzLaw [at] aol.com; Rebecca Markussen
