AMERICAN BLACKOUT

In a democracy, we have few things we hold more sacred than the right to vote. In "American Blackout," filmmaker Ian Inaba assembles compelling evidence showing that African-Americans—traditionally more likely to vote Democratic—are being deliberately and systematically excluded from the political process. Interviewing Congressional leaders, journalists, and regular voters, Mr. Inaba addresses the Florida debacle of 2000, the ouster of Representative Cynthia McKinney, a vocal critic of the Bush administration, and the disenfranchisement of African-American voters in Ohio in the 2004 general election.
