Join us to build a strong peace community in an era of perpetual wars!

About South Bay Mobilization

Our members include workers, veterans, teachers, students, lawyers, immigrants and immigrant rights activists, environmentalists, and other concerned residents. We invite individuals, as well as representatives of groups, interested in working with SBM to attend our monthly meetings held on the first Thursday of each month at the Peace Center. At these meetings, we hear reports, discuss political developments, review objectives, plan events, and coordinate ongoing activities.

South Bay Mobilization opposes U.S. interventions that violate rights of self-determination at home and abroad. We oppose the occupation of Iraq and other wars of economic imperialism being carried out or planned in the guise of fighting terrorism.

Activities

We organize and participate in public lectures and movies, protest marches, picnics, dinners, discussion groups, street theatre, a drumming circle and speak-out twice a month, counter-military recruitment in area high schools, and literature tables at school and community events. The SBM website (www.sbm4peace.org) has extensive documentation on global warming and receives over a million "hits" per month, with an average of over 2000 per day. Everyone is invited to invest time and funds in SBM in whatever amounts you are able to donate. Please join us.
