Did you Know?...
...that Student fees at the CSU system have gone up 94% in the last 5 years and are scheduled to continue going up...
This gathering is an open collective for those who wish to do more than simply express their frustration at increasing student fees for the CSU system. Students and non-students alike have many things in common, one of them being a desire to see a system of higher education which is accessible to all. Another commonality is the wish to see a University system truely accountable to those it serves, namely that of students.
If you wish to address these issues through constructive action, then we hope to see you there. If you are sick of the status quo, then we hope to hear your discontents and possible solutions for enacting change. Take all the "what ifs..." and "maybe next times..." and change that into positive steps forward toward change.
So many times we fall and simply give up because it was hard. The important thing to remember is pacing oneself and take steps forward toward that positive change. Like Ghandi said, "Be the change in which you wish to see..."
Please come out and join us to meet, discuss and plan a new independent student movement to protect and extend educational rights.
