As economists discuss whether we are heading into a recession or depression, millions of workers in the U.S. are nervous about the impact this may have on our lives. Many are already losing homes, jobs or health care, and by all accounts, the crisis is only going to get worse.

What are the causes of economic crisis in capitalism? Why is the richest country on Earth plagued with such economic insecurity for the masses of its people?
