Tasers are not the problem. When you blame a technology, you demonize its good uses by good people as well.

Im not a cop (hell, I fucking hate cops.. you have no idea). And I carry a taser. M-18, to be precise. Similar to the formerly police-issued M-18, but less range. And now they carry the higher-powered M-26 anyway.

My taser is legal to carry concealed in California, and believe me - it never leaves my side. Although it wont protect me from cops, I feel much safer at night and even during the day knowing it's there in case I need it. Hell, just last night walking home a stray dog approached and challenged me on a dark street. The confidence my Taser gives me, enabled me to communicate sufficient threat and lack of fear to the animal that it hesitated, even jumped back at first, and kept its distance. I never had to fire my Taser (which is good, those rounds cost $20 each yo!)

In the last year, my Taser has also enabled me to peacefully end a dangerous standoff against a human aggressor. Twice. Never had to fire, the threat alone was enough.

Guns dont kill people. Tasers dont kill people. Technology is amoral. PREDATORS ARE THE PROBLEM. Cops are the problem. Cops with attitudes no better than some agro dog on a dark road at night.

Everyone should own and carry a Taser, particularly because they are not illegal to carry concealed - which means they dont invite aggression by toughs with something to prove (cops and other thugs includes).

They also leave the predators wondering who is armed and who is not - and thus less motivated to attack.

And like a firearm, sure you can kill with a Taser if you really really want to. All these "accidental" taser deaths are bullshit.

It's just sad that the corporate fascist dictator cops and the communist fascist dictator liberals have ganged up against the common folk to keep us disarmed and helpless.

BUY A TASER M-18 or M-26C! Best $200 you'll ever spend. (I wont provide a link, so no one can accuse me of trying to make a profit. I bought mine on E-bay.)
