It's planting season!

Come by the Dirty Dove infoshop for a discussion on gardening for wildlife in your yard, on the sidewalk, or volunteering in our parks. Learn a few fun facts about local plants or get some advice on planting in your yard or other open spaces. This will also be a great time to plug into the Mission Greenbelt project.

Free native plants for local gardens and sidewalk plots will be available starting at 5:30. Free maps too!

If you don't have a garden, learn about planting with the Mission Greenbelt or possible squat plots near that route. Artist Amber Hasselbring will stop by at 6:15 pm to chat about the Mission Greenbelt project, including easy ways to get involved.

Dirty Dove is a new infoshop in SF's Mission district, open on Wednesdays from 4-8pm. In addition to nifty workshops, we've got a lending library, zines, computers, printers, couches, tea, and good vibes. Got an idea for a workshop or discussion group? Come on by or join the dirty dove list at dirtydove [at] lists.riseup.net

Hm, here in the East Bay, December and January are the two months that are least recommended for planting some things.
We are 100% volunteer and depend on your participation to sustain our efforts!
