On December 13th, people from all over Oakland will gather to commemorate the lives
of loved ones lost to violence at our annual Evening of Remembrance. We would be
honored if you would join us in this effort to bring peace to Oakland's streets.

Please join us as we honor those we have lost in 2007 and in past years. We invite
you to bring a photograph or memorial for the loved one that you would like to
honor.
There will be food, refreshments, entertainment, and information about support for
victims and survivors of violence. There will also be speakers and a memorial
ceremony. Parking is available at the Grocery Outlet on Broadway at 29th Street,
with limited parking behind the church on Fairmount Ave.

Silence The Violence/Ella Baker Center, Youth UpRising, The Office of the Mayor, The
Crisis Response and Support Network of Catholic Charities of the East Bay, The
Oakland/Alameda County Chapter of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence in
connection with Oakland Million Mom March, East Bay Asian Youth Center and Youth
Alive.
Thank you for your support throughout 2007 as we've worked to bring peace to our
streets.
