PEARL HARBOR DAY & CAPITALIST MYTHS ABOUT WORLD WAR II
Dec. 7 is known as "Pearl Harbor Day," the Japanese attack on a US Naval base that spurred the US to enter World War II. Did the US really join the war in order to "avenge Pearl Harbor"? What led Japan to attack the US? Was WWII fought to make the world "safe for democracy"? Join us to discuss the underlying causes of the second world war, as well as the myths generated by the capitalist class to secure it in history as "the good war."
Including: a film showing, segment of "The Unknown War" documentary about the heroic role of the people of the Soviet Union in World War II.
