The goal of the Mission Greenbelt Campaign is to build an urban earth artwork in the Mission District of continuous native plant sidewalk gardens. The route connects four parks in the Mission, offering a corridor for wildlife, such as bees and butterflies, between these islands of habitat.
You can help make this happen!
Join artist Amber Hasselbring on a mellow ride along the proposed greenbelt. She'll discuss the route and we'll install a couple of plants in vacant sidewalk plots along the way.
The ride will end at the San Francisco Arts Commission Gallery (401 Van Ness), where the campaign is currently installed.
Steady rain cancels this ride.
All skill levels welcome.
Ride is FREE, though donations for the project are gladly accepted.
