Anna is a young woman whose grandmother lost most of
her family in the Nazi Holocaust who began to explore
and study the Middle East while teaching English in
Turkey on a Fulbright Grant. She has written a
profound and informative book called WITNESS IN
PALESTINE-A JEWISH AMERICAN WOMAN IN THE OCCUPIED
TERRITORIES detailing her
eight months as a volunteer with the INTERNATIONAL
WOMEN'S PEACE SERVICE. a grassroots volunteer peace
group. It documents the situation on the ground Anna
observed and her personal and intellectual journey
piecing together her own understanding of the
conflict.
