Obama has only minor tactical differences with Clinton and the rest of his fellow imperialist Democrats. Getting people with the slightest bit of oppositional spirit to work for his election is to divert their energies from any possible useful action, and to reinforce the illusion that working within the ruling-class parties might change something.

I'll bet, by the way, that if Clinton gets the nomination, most of these Obama-pushers will be organizing people for HER election.

IMO, all listings organizing support for imperialist politicians should be banned from the indybay calendar.

The previous commentator shows once again how easy it is to lose perspective when you are seeking real and meaningful change within society. Yea, it's true, Obama is not the radical Ralph Nader, or the second coming of the divine, but check out his actual credentials dude. After Obama finished law school, he did not run out and join "the firm", instead, he worked as a community organizer in a poor neighborhood. Then he taught constitutional law and was voted one of the most popular professor by his students, again, not a career choice about selling out or cozying up to the power elite.
I remember in 2000 when people i knew voted for Nader instead of Gore because "they are all the same". Well, it turns out, they ain't and part of being a grown up is being real about what is actually possible, not what we would do if only we ruled the world. In my view, Obama offers the possiblity of real change in the real world, and I for one, am saying yes, by all means, yes to that!
We are 100% volunteer and depend on your participation to sustain our efforts!
