Pangs Theater Ensemble will perform Shakespeare's timeless classic, King Lear, the story of family cruelty and betrayal.
King Lear tells the tale of an aging king who decides to give
up his throne and divide his kingdom into three. He
gives the kingdom away depending on how his
daughters reply to a question which is "how do you
love me?" Three daughters reply with differing
degrees of honesty, and the King responds
instinctively to give them different fates depending
on their replies. What follows is the enduring tragic
story, which vividly demonstrates the cruelty
present in human nature, even in those closest to
us.
