Over 10 million people lived in the Americas prior to the visit of Christobal Colon in 1492. Within 350 years, the population of the First Nation Peoples was reduced to less than 1 million people. Murder, chemical warfare and relocation were government and militia practices to steal the land and conquer the communities of over 500 different tribes.
The school-age story of the pilgrims and "Indians" coming together for a large meal celebrating a productive harvest ended in slaughter of over 300 Indigenous children, women and men. For hundreds of thousands of people living in occupied Amerikka, Thanksgiving Day is a day of mourning.
Today, one of the First Nation's Leaders continues to live in occupation for a crime he did not commit-his name is Leonard Peltier!
Please join the San Diego Chapter of the Peace & Freedom Party as we fast from Sunrise to Sunset; join us for an hour or an afternoon!
Honor our ancestors and celebrate the future freedom of Leonard Peltier!
