LRDP Resistance: Getting Supplies in the Trees

A rally took place in the Baytree Plaza at UC Santa Cruz on November 7th to protest UCSC's Long Range Development Plan (LRDP) and to announce the newly launched tree-sit on Science Hill. Following the rally, people marched to Science Hill to show resistance to the LRDP and support the tree-sit.

The man with the bicycle, who said he was a close friend of the Chancellor, was begging the heavily armed police to not instigate violence. The police just kept on advancing.

You can see at least two police officers quickly moving forward with their finger on the trigger of what I believe are guns to shoot tear gas canisters. Tear gas canisters have been used to kill people.
