Monika Bauerlein is (with Clara Jeffery) the editor-in-chief of the San Francisco-based Mother Jones, a 31-year-old investigative magazine with a circulation of 230,000 in the U.S. and internationally, widely recognized as one of the most respected and influential progressive publications in the country. Prior to working at Mother Jones, Monika had years of experience in environmental journalism, reporting for a wide variety of newspapers and public radio programs.
Modeled after one of the most popular courses ever taught at Harvard, Activist Lives is a course open to the public will bring some of the most original and successful activists of our day into conversation with students and others to explore how an engaged, compassionate, transformative life is possible.
