Oakland City Council Iran Resolution

Time:
5:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Event Type:
Meeting

rae
Location Details:
Oakland City Council Meeting
1 Frank Ogawa Plaza between 14th and 15th Streets
Oakland

The Oakland City Council will vote on a resolution to prevent a military attack on Iran. This is an amazing opportunity to rally local community support for peace and diplomacy and express our opposition to further US military aggression in the Middle East. In collaborating with our locally elected officials, let us raise our voices in demanding support for in-need communities at home AND not for greater war and violence abroad.

Oakland City councilwomen Jane Brunner and Nancy Nadel will be introducing a resolution condemning US efforts to bomb Iran and interfere in Iran's internal affairs. It's critical that we have a strong community presence at the rally, the press conference and at the meeting to show support for the resolution.

Will you join Global Exchange, CODEPINK and our community and national partners for a rally outside the Oakland City Hall before the meeting?

Will you also join us to stand in support of this resolution during the meeting?
