On Wednesday, November 14 at 7:00 PM, the Mt. Diablo Peace and Justice Center is sponsoring a multi-media presentation by Lorin Peters on his experiences as a peacemaker in the Middle East.
What: What’s happening in Israel and Palestine? A Presentation by Lorin Peters

Where: Mt. Diablo Peace and Justice Center, 55 Eckley Lane, Walnut Creek
Lorin Peters, teacher and native of Lafayette for the last 60 years, will present digital images, personal stories, and positive experiences from his last five summers as a peacemaker in Hebron (20 miles south of Jerusalem). He will share the stories of both the Israelis and the Palestinians, the Muslims and the Jews - and his own struggle to love and respect both as part of the work of reconciliation.
Mr. Peters has taught “Alternatives to Violence”, based on Gandhi’s principles of nonviolence, since 1972 and has been a member of the Christian Peacemakers Team in Palestine since 2003. He is also a member of Educators for Nonviolence.
