Sandino Gomez of the Resource Center for Non-Violence will be there with information about why NOT to join the military, and alternatives to military service. Alberto Tovar, Alisal High graduate and CSUMB student who stood up to Marine recruiters at a community event, will also be present. Join your local activists.
Robert Zabala is a Salinas resident who was discharged from the Marine Corps after seeking conscientious objector status.
*The Army of None speakers Aimee Allison and David Solnit will NOT be able to come.

I could be wrong but I believe Robert Zabala never actually went into combat. He was a Marine Reservist who felt disgusted by the brainwashing and programing that happens during boot camp and with help from the GI Rights Counseling team of the RCNV he received Conscientious Objector status before his unit was deployed to Iraq.
