Friday, Oct. 26- 7pm , screening of “Until When”, part of our Conscientious Projector film series
Berkeley Fellowship Unitarian Universalists Hall, 1924 Cedar at Bonita (1 block East toward the Hills from MLK Jr. Way) in Berkeley. Sponsored by BFUU Social Justice Committee http://www.bfuu.org, ph: 510-528-5403
Filmed during the Intifada in 2004, Director Dahna Abourahme's documentary follows four Palestinian families who live in Dheisheh refugee camp near Bethlehem, painting a genuine portrait of life in the settlement through interviews, photo archives and emotionally compelling footage. A revealing look at how displaced people survive such frustrating circumstances, this moving film also shares what inspires the refugees to keep a firm grasp on their hopes for a better tomorrow. Update & discussion with Jeanne Shaterian to follow.
Wheelchair accessible, all welcome. Donations appreciated, but no one turned away for lack of funds.
