'E-Waste Weekend' planned at fairgrounds Staff Report Article Launched: 09/14/2007 11:10:00 PM PDT Old cell phones, computers, printers, microwaves, fax machines and other electronic machinery can be disposed of this weekend during "E-Waste Weekend" at the Marin County Fairgrounds. Residents can bring in their obsolete electronic equipment to be recycled by Electronic Recyclers, the largest "e-waste" recycler in the state. "Despite the fact that we collected 180,000 pounds of e-trash last April, we are confident there is a lot more equipment out there collecting dust in garages, attics and offices," said Jim Farley, county director of cultural and visitor service.
