Please join us for this brown-bag program--and bring along your friends and co-workers!

Presented by Jesse Quay, Senior Design Consultant for Sun Light and Power , Bill Burke, AIA/LEED AP of Pacific Gas & Electric Company's (PG&E) Pacific Energy Center (PEC) and Peitsa Hirvonen of Sesco Electrical.

Jesse Quay, Oakland native Senior Design Consultant for Sun Light. Sun Light and Power was started in 1976 and has pioneered the alternative energy movement in the SF Bay Area and beyond. Jesse has been building, designing and selling solar electric, hot water and hydronicsystems since 2003. Experienced in working with architects, developers and homeowners to customize energy solutions to their dynamic needs.

Bill Burke is an architect with a long background in environmental issues and energy-efficiency. As staff architect at Pacific Gas & Electric Company’s (PG&E) Pacific Energy Center (PEC), he oversees architectural educational programs and consultations. Bill promotes good site and building design for passive cooling and heating, a high performance building envelope to maximize energy efficiency, and incorporation of renewable energy strategies such as solar thermal and photovoltaics.

Peitsa Hirvonen started SESCO in 1992 and has been doing superior electrical work for general contractors and homeowners since 1992, providing a wide range of electrical wiring and communications/media cabling services, from new construction to remodeling and from service maintenance to repair. In addition, the company is committed to educating our crew in all facets of green building, including solar energy and all technologies related to energy efficiency.

If events as distantly related to oppositional social/political activism as this one is are allowed on the indybay calendar, nobody looking for real activist events will have the time to find those events on the calendar.
