Food & Drinks — All Day
We'll have barbeque (veggie & non-veggie), salads, chips, salsa, and other treats. n All-You-Can-Eat ticket will cost $5. Drinks include beer, wine and soft drinks for $1 each.
Workshops -- free and open to all
11:30 — Dealing With Skyline/CitiApartments Presented by organizers of the CitiStop Campaign and focused on how tenants can deal with this abusive landlord and what the implications of CitiApartments startegies are on San Francisco's housing market..
12:30 — Gentrification & Housing Development Issues Presented by organizers of the Mission AntiDisplacement Coalition (MAC) and addressing the issues and strategies involved in fighting for less market rate housing and more affordable housing.
1:30 — Using Small Claims Court & The Rent Board Tenants can deal with many issues at Small Claim Court and the Rent Board without having to hire an attorney. But there are strategies on how these resources can be successfully utilized. Presented by longtime Tenants Union counselors.
Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony — 2:30 PM
We will honor the work of longtime housing and tenant advocates Sister Bernie Galvin, Steve Mackouse, and Jose Morales. Click here for biographies of these outstanding advocates.
Yard Sale — All Day
Come and browse and buy! We always have lots of good stuff you'll want to bring home!
Music throughout the day by Elisa M Welch, Mike Fleming, Jim McLaren, and Nina Jo Smith
