The Iraq Moratorium is a community based nationwide effort beginning Fri., Sept. 21 and subsequent 3rd Fridays of the month to take some small measure such as wearing a black ribbon and calling a congressperson to protest the war's funding and to demand the troops be brought home now. This project is an attempt to reach beyond the choir to those 70% who say they are against the war. Outreach is ongoing to youth/students; labor; community/neighborhoods; and faith communities. Other activities will include Bart leafleting, vigiling, lobbying, reading the names of the dead with neighbors, etc.
