I think that this post didn't contribute anything positive to the calendar, especially since you posted another post more recently about teh same topic.
If it's a couple of months in advance and you don't have any specific info about an event, especially if it's cancelled and you aren't aware of any events that would be protesting the cancellation, you should just post to the newswire.
