The Board of the Greater Fresno Area Chapter ACLU-NC will meet on Wednesday, August 15, at 6:30 pm. The public is welcome to attend. We will continue setting our priorities and preparing for the annual membership meeting to be held on September 19.
The meeting will be held at the Seventh Day Adventist Church 2980 East Yale Avenue (behind the Nazarene center, accessed from either First street or Clinton behind the Fresno Art Museum). The only request of the Church is that there will be no smoking on the grounds and there is plenty of parking.
Addressing local civil liberties issues:
Recent Fresno restraints on film making and voter registration will also be on the agenda, as well as the recent death of Pam Kincaid, a homeless person who fell 4 stories to her death while hospitalized.
