On August 9th, 2007, the Richmond Planning Commission will vote on whether or not they will approve Chevron's Environmental Impact Report (DEIR) to expand.
This workshop is to educate community members about how refineries work and how they pollute the environment and our communities so that we can better advocate for ourselves at that meeting and in the future. It will also be a great way to better educate ourselves on what's happening with Chevron and their expansion plans in Richmond!
CHEVRON REFINERY EXPANSION
“Chevron Energy & Hydrogen Renewal Project”
would allow Chevron to refine dirtier crude oil.
* Dirtier Crude means more Pollution for the Community and more Profits for Chevron!
* This Project is a great opportunity for Chevron to transition out of fossil fuel dependency and into true clean fuel production!
* We want a Clean & Healthy City of Richmond!
